MaKenzie Jacobs

Position: Regional President

College: Solano Community College
Major: Nursing Hobbies: Reading, singing, photography, collecting records, listening to music, and going out with friends and family as often as possible!

MaKenzie Jacobs : Hi lovely people! My name is Kenzie Jacobs and I am delighted and honored to serve as the Regional President! I have always been someone drawn to authentic and diverse communities. I love people and the stories and experiences that they bring. To learn is to love and I am a huge lover! After joining PTK I found a space that overflowed my heart with love and my brain with knowledge, compassion, and understanding. I am here to listen and support our mission as a whole and instill change in our community. To do so I need you! I thank you for your hard work and the change that we will make in tandem! 


Paije Parker

Position: Vice President of Nevada Chapter: Beta Beta Epsilon College: Great Basin College Major: Nursing Hobbies: I love spending time with my husband and kids. I enjoy camping, riding 4-wheelers or taking my SXS out. I love tumbling, going for runs, and crafting on my cricut.

Paije Parker: I am Paije Parker your NV/CA Vice President of Nevada from Great Basin College, Beta Beta Epsilon Chapter. I am originally from Utah, born and raised; I moved to Nevada nearly 4 years ago. I am a wife, a mom, and currently pursuing my degree in nursing. I have always been passionate about healthcare and helping those around me. I took a chance and joined PTK and have embraced all the opportunities it has provided me with. PTK has given me another outlet to participate in my community and help those around me and serve others in impactful ways. I am grateful to be a part of something that pushes me and encourages me to do more! I am so excited to see what this year brings for our chapters and the region!


Melinda Piantedosi Sedmak

Position: Vice President of the Southwest District Chapter: Alpha Nu Xi College: College of the Canyons Major: Paralegal Studies Hobbies: Painting, diamond art, karaoke, cornhole, and spending time with family

Officer Statements:

Melinda Piantedosi Sedmak: Hello everyone, my name is Melinda, and I am honored to serve as the Nevada/California Vice President of the Southwest District from the Alpha Nu Xi Chapter at College of the Canyons. My journey back to college has been guided by purpose and a deep commitment to growth. As a Paralegal Studies major, I have developed a strong appreciation for communication, structure, and advocacy, and I enjoy applying those skills in both my academic and leadership experiences. Phi Theta Kappa has provided me with an opportunity to connect with others who are equally driven to make a difference. Through these experiences, I have come to value collaboration, meaningful service, and the importance of supporting one another. I believe leadership is not about standing above others, but about working alongside them, building connections, and creating opportunities for everyone to succeed. I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to strengthen our region and support the incredible work happening across our chapters.


La Kisha Reece

Position: Vice President of the Northeast Chapter: Beta Eta Psi College: Sacramento City College Major: Accounting Hobbies: Reading, crafting, DIY projects, writing,music,spoken word and anything that inspires personal growth.

La Kisha Reece: I am La Kisha Reece, an accounting student at Sacramento City College and a proud member of the Beta Eta Psi Chapter, where I serve as Chapter Treasurer. I’m a bit of a nerd at heart. I love reading, learning new things and anything that encourages personal growth. I’m a creative person and I enjoy things like playing the flute and trying new artistic hobbies. My journey is rooted in service, integrity and the belief that every student deserves opportunities to grow and rise. I am honored to represent the CA/NV Region as the Northeast Regional Vice President, and I look forward to cultivating spaces where students feel supported, connected and confident in their ability to succeed.


Joshua Wang

Position: Vice President of Southeast District Chapter: Beta Kappa Pi Chapter College: Chaffey College Major: Electrical Engineering Hobbies: I love to play chess competitively and play the guitar. I love to exercise and rest. Aside from PTK I run a STEM nonprofit that gives underserved students access to robotics education free of charge and work as a part-time instructor for a afterschool robotics program.

Joshua Wang: Hi everyone, my name is Joshua Wang! I am your NV/CA VP of the Southeast District from the Beta Kappa Pi Chapter at Chaffey College! I grew up in Southern California and have always seen myself as someone who enjoys mentoring others and helping people feel heard and supported. I like exploring different interests, whether it’s playing chess, guitar, or getting involved in nonprofit work and giving back to the community. Since joining PTK, I’ve found a space that encourages growth and connection with others who share similar goals. I look forward to working with all of you and helping our region succeed!


Dev Sepulveda

Position: Vice President of Technology Chapter: Beta Sigma Rho College: Moorpark College Major: Cybersecurity Hobbies: Exploring New Cultures and Communities, Home labbing, Codding, Participating in Cyber Competitions, Cooking, Volunteering

Dev Sepulveda: Hola! My name is Dev Angel Sepulveda. I am originally from the East Coast and moved Southern California to pursue to my career goals and the warm weather! I am honored to serve as your NV/CA Vice President of Technology. I’m a Cybersecurity and Network Operations student from the Beta Sigma Rho Chapter at Moorpark College, where I enjoy building systems, solving problems, encouraging cyber awareness, and helping others feel supported through technology. PTK has given me a community that values growth, services, fellowship, and I’m excited to work with all of you as we strengthen our region and support our chapters.



NV/CA Regional Officers have an amazing opportunity to develop leadership skills as they work with the regional leadership team to plan and facilitate regional events. Regional officers provide oversight and assistance to local chapters.
